“3…2…1…”
The petals floated through the air as the sound of giggles filled the room. Hair and makeup done perfectly, Kristie and her ladies were ready for the day, matching jean shirts, leggings, and all. It was time to celebrate! Kristie and Nick were getting married!!
Getting Ready
Rooms across from each other, getting ready with our bride and groom was so joyful. Both surrounded by dear friends, excited to support them and having the best time doing it! Entering Nick’s room, you could catch a glimpse of the ring bearers getting suits on with the groomsmen, little smiles on their faces feeling all grown up. The best man, LJ, helped adjust Nick’s tie, followed by some silly words – making for even bigger laughs. Kristie’s room was filled with shades of peach and ladies just as eager to cheer on their bestie. Best part of the morning had to be the champagne pop with Kristie and her MOH, Chelsea, trying to get the bubbles going!
As the bridesmaids got their dresses on, Kristie and her mom shared a moment to get her dress on, then open the gifts Mrs. Fayad prepared. The traditional saying, “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a pence in your shoe,” was the theme of the gift, but the sweetest part was a bracelet with Kristie’s dad’s birthstone on it. Something so she could carry her dad with her that day as she walked down the aisle.
Next, it was time to grab some bridesmaid reaction photos – a personal favorite on wedding days for us! We got the girls lined up and eyes closed, before bringing Kristie in. Once their eyes opened, all you could hear were gasps and many of the girls teared up looking at the gorgeous bride. She really did look amazing!!
The Ceremony
It was time to head to the church for the ceremony! Pulling up to St. John’s Catholic Church you can’t help but notice the gorgeous architecture and colorful stain glass windows. K&N had a traditional Catholic Mass, but wanted to wait to do vows more privately to each other at the reception site at golden hour. Once their ceremony ended and were officially man and wife, we took some family portraits with loved ones and headed to the James Carnes Center for the vows and reception!
Sunset Vows
Golden light behind them, Kristie and Nick pulled out their vow books to promise each other forever. Meaningful words brought tears to their eyes and they shared warm embraces knowing that this special moment was all theirs. (Brides, I highly recommend this if you don’t want to read vows at the ceremony)! It was incredibly special, and once we popped some more champagne and threw flower petals into the sunset, it was time for the reception!
Reception
Accents of emerald and peach decorated the space, huge windows letting in the last of the light. The two had a beer tap next to the bar and amazing meal (my gosh, was that food good!!). A cookie table covered almost an entire wall of the room with individually wrapped desserts. To the right was a display for family members greatly missed, and on the left was their adorable wedding cake. It was such a gorgeous set up!
After beautiful (and super funny) speeches were given by K&N’s MOH, best man, and close friends, it was time to start dancing! This group was all about it, making for such a fun evening to celebrate these two. A sparkler exit sent of the newly weds, and it was just the sweetest night!
To the Couple
Kristie and Nick, you guys are truly a blast! Your hearts are absolutely incredible and you are so easy to love on! Every second of your day reflected the two of you and the people you love the most, something that was extra special about your day. As soon as we hopped in the car, we immediately said how much fun we had with you both! We are so blessed to have been a part of this amazing day of yours, and hope you soaked up every second of it. Congratulations to the new, Mr. & Mrs. Falcone!! You are AWESOME!
