If you’ve ever wondered what the wedding of the century is, you may need to look at Alex and Shane’s wedding day at Provence Mills Event Center! Trust us, this wedding was not only gorgeous, but SO much fun! From the confetti canons, the elaborate decor, their huge bridal party filled with family and friends, and absolutely delicious food, this night was one you couldn’t miss. Alex and Shane had the most perfect day, and we are so happy for them!!
Getting Ready
The day started at Alex’s hotel room where girls were getting their hair and makeup on in their silky PJ sets. They all looked like they were about to walk the red carpet! Alex’s incredibly sweet mom helped her get into her stunning Sottero & Midgley gown with a sweetheart neckline, silk buttons down the back, and a train filled with lace detailing. She could not have looked more like a princess! We got her girls ready for their first look with her, and the second they opened their eyes, there were gasps, squeals, and a bunch of ladies trying not to cry. It was super sweet!
The Ceremony
Once everyone was ready, we headed off to the ceremony at The Butler North Church next to The Butler Institute of American Art (aka the best set up for photos). Alex made her way down the aisle with the biggest smile on her face to meet her man, who also had the biggest smile on his face. It was so evident how excited and ready they were to become husband and wife, and their ceremony was so them! It had laughs, a beautiful performance by Alex’s sister, and a wine ceremony with their parents. We always love when couples make their day feel like them, and these two did just that!
Portraits during Cocktail Hour
While the guests made their way to Provence Mills Event Center to enjoy cocktail hour, we snapped some family photos and wedding party portraits. These two have such a great support system around them, and it was really beautiful to watch these to be celebrated so well! The Butler made for the most dreamy backdrop to capture their love, and their wedding party was always ready to cheer them on!
The Reception
Alex & Shane opted for a first look with their reception, which was a super creative idea! As soon as they walked in, their faces were SO impressed as they looked around their classic gold and white wonderland. The design their coordinator, Scott, flawlessly executed the couples’ vision! Chandeliers hung above round tables filled with lamps and florals, and lots of gold details.
After their entrances, their wedding party shot confetti canons towards A&S as they danced. The food was SO good from the appetizers through the dessert all done by Cafe 422. With bellies full, Alex’s little sister and co-maid of honors started toasts followed by Shane’s brother. All three made the couple laugh, tear up, and the guests smile a ton! They truly did an awesome job. We took some alone time with the bride and groom for sunset portraits overlooking the trees, and these two really could be models! They absolutely killed it! Then we took them back in, had their parent dances, and dances the night away on the lit up dance floor. The whole day could not have been more beautiful!
To the Couple:
Alex and Shane, you two are so easy to celebrate and WOW do you know how to party?! Your day was so much fun and truly showed off the love you both have for one another. Every little touch and every smile made it obvious that you both are best friends and the love of each others’ lives! We wish you the very best in marriage and can’t wait to see how you continue to grow together! Congratulations!!
-Hayes and Bree
