La Jolla Shores Palm Trees outside La Valencia Hotel in San Diego, California.

Here you are: so close to to finish line of your wedding planning process. Your dream dress is picked out, suits are on hold, and venue is selected. But before your big day comes, there’s one last event you need to plan: The Rehearsal Dinner. Whether you’re hosting it yourself or someone special is hosting it for you, having an idea of where you’d like to have it is always helpful. Since we recently planned ours, we thought it would be super helpful if we shared our five top rehearsal dinner spots in San Diego! Ranging from downtown San Diego to North Country, here are our favorite spots! Enjoy!!

Our Top Pick: 264 Fresco

If you’re looking for a classy, modern dinner space with delicious Italian food to host your closest family and friends, 264 Fresco is the perfect restaurant. You can choose from their indoor or outdoor tent spaces, and choose which menu options are best for you. This option near the beach in Carlsbad Village is actually where we chose to have our rehearsal dinner, and our guests were so impressed! They set out long farmhouse tables completed with luxurious place settings (complimentary of the restaurant) and had family style dining – allowing for our guests to mingle and have loads of fun! Our tip: add the ravioli to your menu!

Accommodates: 250

Luke’s on Front

On a rooftop overlooking Old Town Temecula, you’ll find Luke’s on Front – a gorgeous family-owned restaurant featuring amazing American cuisine. If you’re looking for a wow factor in southern California’s wine country, this is the spot! Hayes and I had dinner here on one of our very first date nights together and we still remember the stunning overlook and great food! They have gluten free, vegetarian, organic, and grass-fed options, so everyone is sure to find something they’ll love!

Accommodates: 35 (inside); 50 (outside)

Bali Hai

Both a rehearsal dinner spot and a wedding venue, Bali Hai brings Hawaii to you! Featuring ribs, shrimp, peppers, and poke, this is the perfect spot for a mix of unique flavors close to downtown. If you’re looking to truly wow your family and friends and stay close to San Diego’s gorgeous cityscape, you’ll love Bali Hai! Plus, who can pass up a delicious frozen PiƱa Colada, right?!

Accommodates: 28 (Tiki Room); 200 (South Pacific Room & Hawaiian Village)

Duke’s La Jolla

If you’re looking for an oceanfront view in La Jolla, look no further than Duke’s! Seafood, steak, and tacos are all over their menu, having something for everyone. Not to mention, it is super close to some of San Diego’s most luxurious wedding venues such as La Valencia Hotel. This spot also allows you to take guests around scenic La Jolla shores to spot some sea lions and a golden sunset, so if you have spare time in between events, there’s something fun to do! Any out of town guests will be totally amazed!

Accommodates: 30+

Pacifica Del Mar

Hoping for a menu filled with Seafood? Pacifica Del Mar is a great option for fresh oceanside cuisine! Scallops, salmon, and bass are all on the menu, plus since it’s in the heart of Del Mar, you can spend the rest of your evening enjoying sunset on the beach or watch from their patio! This venue says class and elegance making it the perfect spot for your rehearsal dinner!

Accommodates: 120 (Patio); 70 Breeze Cafe); 65 (The Gallery); 45 (Private Reserve)

No matter what restaurant you choose for your rehearsal dinner in San Diego, we hope you have the best time celebrating with your loved ones before you’re officially newlyweds! Soak in every second!
