Their Relationship Story
While living in Orange County, Tess decided to get on a dating app and quickly found herself with a match: Mike. They decided to meet at a taco shop in Huntington Beach, and it went so well that they decided to continue the night and grab drink at the bar next door. Their love for adventure and chill personalities meshed perfectly!
After years of dating, the two planned a trip to Moab, UT, and Mike had a gorgeous hike planned to ask her to marry him. But when Tess got sick, he decided that no time was better and got down on one knee in their hotel room. Tess was shocked to say the least, but so excited!
The Engagement Session
On a crisp November morning, we met these two at Buena Vista Park and made the hike up the mountain while we waiting for the sun to peak out. The timing could not have been more perfect because within three minutes, the most beautiful golden glow incapsulated them both. Freezing or not, this sunrise was so worth the chill! You’d never know from the photos either because they were snuggled together, smiles on their faces. Plus, we motivated Mike with breakfast and coffee after the session!
Once the sun had been up a little while, we finally could feel our toes again. The park was pretty empty, giving us so many little spaces to photograph! And since Tess and Hayes went to high school together, we got to venture around, laughing about old memories. It was the most perfect morning!
To the Couple:
Tess and Mike, we had such a great time with y’all! Your genuine conversation and big smiles made the cold feel a little less brisk, and we are so grateful we get to be a part of this season with you! Congratulations on your engagement and we are excitedly waiting for your wedding!! It’ll be here before we know it!
