Living in a small town can sometimes feel limiting to a photographer like myself because it always feels like the same picture over and over again, but not this time. Kayla Commings brought something that truly added to her session, and her good looks made them sparkle!

From her outfit choices, to her jewelry, to her kind smile, Kayla has that personality that is so put-together and mature, and I just KNOW she is going places.

We started her session at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Youngstown with her super sweet mother. I will say this has been such a popular place this summer, but it could not have fit Kayla better.

I am a mama’s girl without a doubt, and my mother is one of my biggest supporters when it comes to my business. She is always asking to see every session and every client to see what all I am up to, and I am always happy to show her my work. As she was looking through Kayla’s gallery, she just kept talking about Kayla’s eyes, and I totally agree. Her eyes are so big and gorgeous, and they stand out in every one of her photos. I am obsessed with these four from the light to Kayla’s outfit. The photo on the far right is Kayla’s personal favorite!!

Seriously though – LOOK AT HER PRETTY EYES! She has that caramel, golden brown eyes that you could actually melt in.

Kayla’s makeup was done by Sheila Guzzetti, who actually does my eyelash extensions!! As soon as I met Kayla, I had to know if she did the makeup herself, and she told me a fun fact that she actually knew both Sheila and my friend, Anna, who is one of my assistants. She worked with both of them, and after her session, both ladies agreed with me that Kayla is such a sweetheart. It makes total sense that she is friends with some of the kindest people I know!

Another fun thing about these two photos above is that there was a birthday party going on right around where we were shooting, but we quickly moved around it and kept shooting anyway. Anything for the pic, am I right?

The Butler Institute of American Art in downtown, Youngstown is always a stunning place to shoot at, but I will say that some of the best photos taken here are with fashionable girls like Kayla. I will be taking tips from her Insta from now on on how to dress in a classy, stunning way. The elegance of this location without a doubt matched the elegance of the girl!

Now with every blog post, I usually have my very favorite that I end it with, but for this shoot, that was super difficult. She looked so stunning in each one, and the photographs were all just so pretty. I honestly couldn’t choose. But I will say that the window light in this picture really stands out, and it was actually all Kayla’s idea to shoot on the side of the building. How I never thought to take about ten steps to my life is beyond me, but I am so happy she had me do it.

Kayla, you have such an outstanding personality that I have no doubt will take you so far in life. Next thing I know, you’ll be a super famous girl rocking whatever career you choose. I hope that I get to work with you again, and I can’t wait to see where life takes you!
