Do you ever have those moments where you remember how small the world is? I had one of those when I met up with Laney, a super-fashionable senior from Cardinal Mooney High School.
When I stepped out of the car that day, I knew I recognized this sweet girl in the cutest sweater! After a few questions, we realized we had both gone to the same middle school, and she was just a few grades behind me! Crazy, right?! Once that hit us, we were smooth sailing. We talked about our Holy Family School experiences as we walked around downtown Youngstown and part of YSU’s campus. Her and her mama were extra prepared too in a way that I couldn’t help but be super impressed by. They had built a little changing station in the back of their truck complete with a blanket tent and a full-length mirror. Now that is dedication!!
On top of that, Laney’s makeup and hair was beyond stunning, which did not surprise me once she told me that Sin Pretty Beauty had created those big bouncy curls and Amanda Apinis (aka Amanda Makeup Artistry over on Instagram) had applied absolutely flawless makeup. Her outfits were simple, classic, yet modern and all three times she switched I was lovin’ it!
To make her session even better, this girl is super dedicated. I made her walk super far back at a horse farm, go off road in a random field, and walk in the middle of the street to get her pictures. (Do not worry, we were on the lookout for cars and were 100% safe). I always appreciate when clients trust me to not only get the best lighting for their photo (such as that golden hour glow), but also to pick locations that will go perfectly with their outfit choices!
Laney, it was such a blast getting to know you, and you rocked your session with pure modeling talent! Have such a blast in college!!
