As Erica walked out on her dad’s arm down the aisle, Jake broke down in tears knowing this was the day and the moment she would finally become his wife! It was a day they’d both been excitedly waiting for!
Getting Ready
Hayes and I walked into one of our favorite salon’s, Magnolia’s on the Green, to start our day celebrating Erica! The morning was so special – a little buzz in the air as all the girls got their hair and makeup done. Our sweet friend, Dom, did Erica’s makeup, adding a little extra fun into our morning all together. We talked all about her details, the things she was most excited for, and how she couldn’t wait to finally be Mrs. Spears! Once we finished the morning, it was time to head over to Jake’s mom’s house to get Erica into her dress before the ceremony.
The girls sipped on some wine in their robes soaking up the morning before Erica put on her final touches. Her mom finished helping lace up the back, and we got the girls ready for their bridesmaids’ first look. 3…2…1… The girls opened their eyes and let out the most excited squeals and huge smiles. This is always one of the most fun moments of the morning!
Before the Ceremony
After the girls arrived at the church, Jake had a sweet letter waiting for Erica to read. Dabbing her tears to not ruin her makeup, Erica giggled and took in her almost-hubby’s words. We then brought her dad in for a first look with her, and they shared the perfect embrace.
Meanwhile, Jake and his groomsmen arrived at the church, shared a cheers after getting on their jackets, and prepared to start the ceremony.
The Ceremony
New Road Church made for the perfect backdrop as Erica and Jake officially became man and wife. One of our favorite moments was right before they were pronounced man and wife, and you could see both of them wearing the BIGGEST grins you’ve ever seen. It was pretty adorable! After saying hello to their guests, they had a gorgeous exit out of the church and it was time for portraits at Niles McKinley Memorial Library.
The Reception
Once all the portraits were finished (featuring some very fun confetti photos with the wedding party), it was time to party!! Erica and Jake danced the night away on the dance floor, cut their cake (no smashing here), and had their wedding party have a competition on whether the bridesmaids or groomsmen would collect more money to tell whether E or J would name their first kid! It was filled with celebration all night long, and you could feel the joy in the room.
To the Couple:
E&J, we are SO happy for you! Your day was beautiful and totally screamed YOU – exactly how it should be! It has been so much fun cheering you along as you awaited your wedding day, and now we are so happy to get to keep rooting for you as husband and wife! All our congratulations, and we hope you have the sweetest marriage!
