As light rain droplets fell from the sky creating a cozy ambiance, Irons Mill Farmstead stood tall, ready for Ashley and Joe’s wedding day. The fall leaves were vibrant surrounding the venue in oranges, yellows, and reds. The hall was decorated in peach, white, and sage florals with huge golden chandeliers hanging from the barn ceilings. The cookie table was filled to the brim for guests to enjoy later that evening and white chairs were lined up downstairs for the ceremony. Everyone was bustling around – excited anticipation in the air.
In the back cottage, Ashley was with her ladies getting her finishing touches on hair and makeup. A huge smile on her face, she was calm and bubbly – ready to marry her man. Sea glass blue and sage Birdy Grey bridesmaids dresses were hanging around the room and mimosas could be found in matching bride & bridesmaids glasses for the girls to sip on.
After grabbing the details, we could see how much thought went into the planning process. Everything had such a boho, down to earth vibe from Ashley’s classy shoes to Joe’s cuff links that perfectly matched Ashley’s engagement ring. The invitation font was playful, letting every guest know that this would be a day of fun celebration!
Back in the cottage, the bridesmaids, flower girl, and our bride were in matching floral robes and slippers. They giggled enjoying the morning, then the ladies got dressed to prepare for their first look with Ashley. Her mama got our bride into her lacy and mesh Willowby Waters gown. It was something she had been SO excited to finally wear, and we were so excited to see it on her in person after months of seeing it over text! She was STUNNING! When her bridesmaids opened their eyes to see Ashley all ready for the first time, some soft tears were shed and you could hear all the “Awww”s! It was too sweet!!
Back at the main barn, Joe got his jacket on with his guys. His best man made sure to fix his pocket square and tie, while all his groomsmen instigated lots of laughs. They were incredibly awesome during their groomsmen portraits, ready to encourage Joe and get him ready for his first look with Ashley.
The First Look
Once the guys were tucked away, we positioned Joe to see his bride. Ashley gracefully walked over, tapped Joe on the shoulder, and a huge smile danced across Joe’s face. He was totally wowed by her dress she had been talking about but he hadn’t been able to see, and he truly was the best hype man for his soon-to-be wife. They shared a sweet embrace and some alone time while we went to grab the rest of the bridal party for portraits.
Wedding Party Portrait Time
Since it started sprinkling, we brought out some clear umbrellas for the group to stay under for pictures. Even though it was cold and a little windy, this group did a truly wonderful job making these perfect photos happen. They cheered on their bride and groom, and each gentleman made sure his aisle partner was fully covered under the umbrellas. The time truly flew by! Once the ladies finished their portraits and family photos were all finished inside the ceremony site, it was time to get these two married!
By ceremony time, the rain was coming down a little harder, so they held their intimate ceremony inside the barn. Joe walked down first followed by his groomsmen, then each bridesmaid. The ring bearers and flower girls made the way before Ashley and her dad started down the aisle. Joe kept a big smile on his face, soaking in the moment, while Ashley kept her eyes totally locked on Joe. This was it! The moment they’d been waiting for.
After being pronounced as the new Mr. & Mrs. Diamantini, they grabbed hands and cheered back down the aisle, totally smitten with each other and the start of their new lives!
Bride & Groom Sunset Portraits
A&J were incredibly patient while we waited for the rain to slow down just enough for us to take advantage of the beautiful light peering through. We grabbed a set of umbrellas and it was out into the autumn air! Since the leaves were showing off, we made sure to grab pictures of these two in front of the trees making for the most magical fall portraits (even if the mud at the time made it feel slightly less magical – haha!). These two were real troopers, ready to make any artistic vision we had happen! But, hey, we expected nothing less after their stunning Sedona Engagement Session!
Let us say that a wedding reception with Ashley and Joe is such a blast! No one brings light into a room quite like them, and their friends are just as incredible. Every entrance, speech, and dance showed off their golden hearts and fun spirits. Ashley’s sister and Joe’s best friend both shared thoughtful toasts about the love these two give to the ones they care most about. The food was so delicious, as were every cookie on the dessert table.
To keep all the ladies’ feet happy, they had a basket of flip flops ready for anyone who needed them. And just like that, it was time to dance the night away! DJ007 from Loyalty Entertainment did such a great job getting everyone up and on the dance floor, including spinning Ashley’s mom around! It was precious! You could take photos in front of the macrame or the wall of 1,000 origami cranes that Ashley hand made for months. Japanese legend says that cranes mate for life and live for 1,000 years, making them an incredible symbol of fidelity. So when Ashley heard of this, she dedicated hours and hours to making that artistic dream come true on her wedding. That, friends, is real dedication!
To the Couple:
Ashley & Joe, you never fail to remind us of why we do what we do. Your genuine hearts, your generosity, and your intentionality in everything you do to make others feel loved is what makes you two so incredibly special. We know that regardless of weddings, we’ve made two friends who are filled with joy and ready for adventure. We are so blessed to know you and to have gotten to be a part of your special day, and we cannot WAIT for more trips to Arizona to visit you! You each are such a gift! Congratulations!!
