Getting Ready

Tucked in the mountains that surround Parker, Arizona, Tess and Mike were both getting ready for the most important day of their lives: their wedding day. Tess in an AirBNB with all her friends and family were getting ready and sipping on Martinelli’s next to the pool, her bridesmaids all in matching PJs. The morning was so chill and all the ladies around her were so joyous! Tess’s mom dressed in a floor length dusty blue gown got her into her dress, carefully zipping it up before stepping back to take a look at her beautiful daughter and wrapping her arms around her. Afterwards, Mike’s mom took a precious moment with her daughter-in-law to be, giving her a huge hug and sharing a laugh. It was beautiful to see how the two families were so effortlessly blending together!

Over at the venue, Havasu Springs Resort, Mike, his dad, and his groomsmen all were sipping on some drinks and enjoying the beautiful day. They got their jackets on and did a cheers to T&M’s marriage before his dad and brother helped him with his tie and boutonnière. Once they were all ready, it was time for Mike to go see his bride during their first look. He loved her dress, twirling her around and admiring her with a soft smile across his face.

The Ceremony

Following wedding party & family portraits, it was time for the ceremony. The wind was quick, but the view more than made up for it! The bridesmaids were dressed in sage while the groomsmen were in a light grey, perfectly complimenting the colors around them. Overlooking the Colorado River, Tess and Mike exchanged vows and ring before sharing their first kiss as husband and wife. The guests all cheered them on as they made their way back down the aisle. It was official!

The Reception

While the guests mingled during cocktail hour, we stepped out with the McNarys to take husband and wife portraits in the golden sunlight. Wow, were they dreamy! We joked that they really are troopers, as both their engagement session and wedding were chilly. You’d never know because these two are dedicated!

One of our favorite parts about Tess & Mike’s wedding reception was the simplicity of it all. They skipped some of the formalities and spent their night enjoying great food, listening to loved ones toasts, and getting to visit with guests. Once the dance floor opened, it remained filled and both their families could be seen having he best time. It was truly a celebration and the kind of wedding that reminds us exactly why we love doing what we do!

To the Couple

Tess & Mike, you two are so much fun! We have such a great time laughing with you both any time we’re all together and we love your fun spirits. You keep things real, you keep the things that matter most priority, and you enjoy life every step of the way. We are so grateful to have gotten to be a part of your engagement season and wedding day, and we hope we’ll get to meet up with you in San Diego when you visit!
