As Sarah walked down the winding sidewalk at the Vineyards at Pine Lake, Jesse was standing facing the lake, waiting for his bride for their first touch. She lightly put her hands on his back, then embraced him in a warm hug from behind, careful not to let him see her. Jesse’s eyes still on the water, S+J had a few minutes to soak in their last moments as an engaged couple, while still upholding the tradition of seeing the bride for the first time down the aisle. They laughed and joked with each other, held hands, and Sarah gave her man a kiss on the cheek before hiding away for the ceremony.
Before the first touch, I got to spend some time with the bridal party. Since Jesse is a comedian, the morning was filled with laughs. The sun was shining bright, not a cloud in the sky – the perfect day for a wedding. Sarah’s mom and bridesmaids helped her get into her dress then stood back to take in how lovely she looked. Her best friend, Theresa, even shed a few tears.
The Ceremony
On the back patio overlooking Pine Lake, an arch with vibrant red flowers and market lights decorated the scene. Sarah made her way down to Jesse, whose smile was larger than life looking at her. Their vows reflected them, filled with joyful memories and hilarious laughs, and still told of the wonderful life they have shared together and the new one they were about to start. One big kiss, and the officiant announced them as man and wife!
The Reception
After family portraits and newlywed sunset photos with autumn leaves as their backdrop, it was time to celebrate. The room was filled with Halloween decor since S+J have a shared love of horror movies, another reason why they chose their date for October 31st.
The bridal party danced their way to their seats as they were announced, big smiles on their faces for their friends. Next, Mr. & Mrs. Pimpinella took to the dance floor, then the father-daughter and mother-son dances. Speeches from Jesse’s brother and best man, Alex, made everyone laugh with memories of them growing up together, and Sarah’s Maid of Honor, Nicole, shared kind words about the bride.
Finally, after a delicious dinner, everyone danced the night away to the music, including the classic “Thriller” by Michael Jackson to celebrate the holiday. A full moon made it’s appearance that night, and it was a perfect end to their day.
To the Couple
Sarah and Jesse, you both are such incredibly kind souls. The perfect mix of gentle and absolutely hilarious, it is so easy to celebrate a couple such as you. It was an honor to be a part of your day, and was definitely my favorite Halloween yet! I am so excited to watch you both enter into married life, and I am cheering you on from the sidelines! Congratulations to the new, Mr. & Mrs. Pimpinella!! I wish you all the best!
