Walking into Studio 81, my sister and I were greeted by lots of laughter and genuine smiles to celebrate the bride-to-be, Lindsey! She was so calm and joyful right off the get-go and you could tell all that mattered to her was that she’d be married to her best friend by the end of the day. First, we grabbed some detail photos of all the beautiful things she had all ready for us, including the cutest sandals and simple, yet so elegant, invitations.
After walking back in to the salon, she popped champagne surrounded by her bridesmaids – her sister and sister-in-laws-to-be – and her amazing mama and soon to be mother-in-law. Lindsey’s little sister (who is an AMAZING singer/songwriter) was watching her get ready on FaceTime since she was in California from Covid-19. Watching them all interact felt like true family and every lady in the room was truly celebrating Lindsey and Shaun. To finish her “getting ready” section of the day, we did special first looks with the bridesmaids and Lindsey’s mom.
Next, we headed over to see Shaun and his boys at his parents’ house. You could immediately see how important marriage is to them by the glass sign hanging on their front porch. The sign had their name and wedding year and was made from a window in Mr. & Mrs. Serich’s first house together. How sweet?! The guys were such a blast and light-hearted, not taking anything too seriously, which was awesome. With a final cheers with beer, everyone headed to St. Jude’s in Columbiana!
After first looks with each of Lindsey’s grandmas, we moved outside for her first look with Shaun. He was so excited to see his bride and the smile on his face was a mile long when he turned around!
Each second of the ceremony was filled with rich tradition, and every person that did a reading was someone special in this pair’s lives. They even live-streamed the ceremony on YouTube for those who could not be there.
Family portraits followed the ceremony, which were all a blast since both of these families are truly amazing, and then headed to The Butler Institute of Art downtown for bridal party portraits. The day was definitely a little toasty, but you would have never known from the energy in the bridal party. How adorable are these two are together?! Seriously, I couldn’t stop saying “wow”!
The bridal party and family ended the day at The Avalon in Warren for dinner, but they will be having their full reception next year with everyone close to them!! This year may have shaken some things up, but nothing was stopping Lindsey and Shaun’s marriage!
Congratulations to the newly weds, Mr. & Mrs. Serich!! I am overjoyed for you both and so excited to celebrate you both again early next year!! Knowing you is truly a blessing!
