Walking into Bianca’s parents’ house, my sister and I were welcomed by her sweet cousin, Paige, her mama, and her soon-to-be mother in law. While we waited for our beautiful bride to get back from her makeup appointment, her mom pulled out her wedding album from 31 years ago to share with the four of us. She pointed out her very favorite photographs and you could tell from the first page that the legacy of marriage was important to her!
Bianca arrived accompanied by her bridesmaids and it was time to start photographing the details, one of them being a gift from Dave, her soon-to-be hubby. (Maybe you remember this free-spirited couple from their engagement session)!! This gift was beyond thoughtful. After reading a note he wrote her reminding her of how very much he loved and could not wait to see his “Bee,” she opened the jewelry box to find a locket with her new initials engraved on the outside, and a picture of the two of them and a message on the inside. With tears in everyone’s eyes, Dave’s mom looked at me and explained how special this day is because of how very in love they are. Needless to say, my heart had exploded!!
The rest of the morning was spent with giggles, moments of Bianca with her bridesmaids and mamas, and mimosas! Dominique, her sister, finished her hair as she sipped on Dunkin Donuts iced coffee – my kind of gal!!
Meeting up with Dave before the ceremony, you could tell how sincere every word he wrote was, because it was his turn to read his note from Bianca. One of my favorite things about Dave is his fearlessness in being vulnerable. From the day I met him, on, he has never held back on letting his love know exactly how he feels, and that is a true blessing! His friends and two brothers, Dan and Joe, were there to support him as he prepared to head into the church.
The ceremony was beautiful at Saint Michael’s Church in Canfield, Ohio! Every detail was surrounded in love as everyone that was a part of their ceremony was someone who loved on the couple so well, from the readings, to the singers, to the talented piano playing! This duo is surrounded in love, and that was evident all day long.
The second everyone hopped in the limo and we were done with bridal party portraits, I looked at Ashley (my sweet sis) and said, “That was THE best bridal party ever.” And I meant it!! They were so ready to do everything that was needed and we got done super fast! I was amazed!! That fun didn’t stop when we got to The B&O Station Banquet Hall! The food was delicious and the DJ had everyone (seriously, everyone) dancing the night away! Some of those favorite moments included Dan putting his tie around his head and going crazy with those dance moves!! It was beyond incredible, but with a bride that’s so kind she’s a light to everyone around her and a groom so fun-loving that he always has a bright smile on his face, I expected nothing less.
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Giese!! You truly are such a special couple and I am so thankful to have been a part of this milestone for you both! It was such an honor and I can’t wait to see where married life takes you!
