On a sunny April afternoon, Mike and Anna arrived at Carlsbad Cliffs for their sunset couple session (but little did Anna know, this was actually her engagement proposal). The sun was slowly setting over the ocean, creating a cotton candy sky around them while the water below crashed onto the sandy shore. It was a gorgeous evening to pop life-changing question!
Anna & Mike met in high school and started dating after he asked her to homecoming. They were very in love, but the timing wasn’t right, so after a while, they took a break. They’d both always hoped they would find their way back to each other, and in spring of 2020, they finally did! This time, it was everything they’d wanted, and the pandemic allowed them to rediscover one another without distractions. Their love grew fierce, and it didn’t take long for them to realize this relationship was forever.
Last fall, they took another step and moved in together with their three dogs: Lincoln, Eli, and Marvin. They enjoy spending time at the pool at their country club, trying out new restaurants, and taking trips, especially to Disney. Their personalities mesh perfectly, and the devotion they share is really beautiful to witness.
The night of the proposal, we did most of the session as normal, hoping to throw Anna off from this being anything more, and right after the sun hid behind the ocean and the most gorgeous blue hour came out, Mike got down on one knee to ask Anna to be his wife. As she said “YES!”, the few bystanders around us cheered and there was no wiping the smiles off their faces. To celebrate, they headed to Vigilucci’s just down the street, enjoying champagne and a delicious meal. They spent the evening off of socials, enjoying the moment just the two of them before sharing the wonderful news with their loved ones!
