Looking through his Instagram feed, Stephen’s eye caught a girl’s profile. She was gorgeous, and he clicked on her story to find a question box where people could ask her anything they wanted. Having gone through the answers to see a few different guys asking her out and her declining, he decided not to ask her out.
Meeting in Person
However, fate decided to step in, and three days later at a youth group in Vista, Stephen ran into the beautiful girl he’d seen online, and they started talking. By November, Stephen wanted to ask her to be his girlfriend and had the perfect plan: he would write 12 letters for her to find on a scavenger hunt, and ask her at the end, but life had other plans. A huge Christmas tree all lit up in the background of their date, Alexa shared some of the intimate parts of her life story. Touched, Stephen told her he needed to go grab something from his car. He came back with the letters, telling her that he would never leave her and that she could trust him. Right then and there, they became official!
The Engagement Proposal
Two years later, this past August, Stephen came up with another plan – but this time to ask Alexa to marry him. He made a video filled with moments he’d taken of her over the years together, and took her up to a rooftop to get down on one knee. His cousins decorated the spot and snapped the photos when she excitedly said, “YES!” They’ll be married this April, and I am so excited for them to enter into this new season together as man and wife!
