When I hopped on a FaceTime call with Sam to talk about her wedding day and her relationship with Matt, I thought it was so cool how their story slowly forms from knowing of each other in high school to falling for each other in college. One of the coolest things about romance, in my opinion, is when life hints that your soulmate is right in front of you, but the timing is not quite right yet and your love story is meant to wait just a little longer.
Sam and Matt started getting to know each other when they both attended Kent State University and carpooled home. It started out as just a friendship, but the more time they spent together, they realized it was becoming so much more. From freshman year of college on, they have been doing life together, and in 2020 will be husband and wife!
As soon as I heard their story, I knew it was only right to take them back to where it all started for their engagement session. And funny enough, Kent State is the very same place my career journey started, so it was a bit of reminiscing for all of us! We started at Tree City Coffee, where they spent time together during college, then moved further downtown to capture them on the gorgeous brick roads and river outlook. Their session was nothing short of magical, full of gorgeous sunsets and intimate moments between this sweet duo.
Congratulations, Sam & Matt!! I cannot WAIT for your wedding day!!
