As a Christian, I always love to hear stories from other Jesus-loving couples, and Jessie and Stephen’s was cute as can be! It all started when Jessie found herself in a new high school youth group, and dancing till her hearts content during the worship set (which Stephen led)! He thought she was so beautiful, but they didn’t talk right away.

During a game of dodgeball, Stephen threw a ball at one of his friends, but that friend swiftly moved out of the way, hitting Jessie instead and breaking her glasses!! But little did Stephen know, Jessie was already telling her friends how cute she thought he was!

After the dodgeball fiasco, they both were in the same play and the director gave them a scene together! Stephen sang during the show and after she heard him, Jessie knew that she really liked him. Since then, they went to school dances, graduated high school together, and now both work at her parents’ and loving every second of their life together these past four years! On June 11th this past year, Stephen asked her to be his wife and she gave him a resounding, “YES!”

These two are so special and so intentional with their love. You can see how they place Jesus in the center and how His love flows through theirs just by the way they look at each other. Their deep friendship keeps them close and their light-hearted personalities make for lots of laughter!

Jessie, I’ve known you since we were little babies, and I am so happy to see you with the man of your dreams and to be reunited during this amazing season in your life! It is a joy to know you and you are so filled with grace and kindness, just like the Proverbs 31 woman!! Stephen, you are truly a gem of a guy! You take the time to give Jessie all the love she deserves, and it shows. You are extra sweet and fun with her, and it is such an amazing representation of how Christ loves us. It is awesome to watch you lead this relationship!

Congratulations to both of you!! I am so excited to see you married!
