Sometimes senior photos do not go as planned, and sweet Chasie was incredibly patient with the cards she was dealt for her last year. This incredible gal had to have surgery on her knee from an injury right around the time she booked for fall senior photos, so we decided to wait for her to recover and take them in the winter.
Chasie was one of my 2019 senior reps, and what was super cool about her was that we never ran out of things to talk about, and we had a deep connection over our faith!! Her incredibly gentle spirit is so uplifting and is probably what got her through her recovery. I was so excited when she was finally able to walk around without her brace. And she blew me away even more when she showed up in HEELS!!
Winter sessions are so beautiful, but so cold, and so finding places that have good light inside can be quite the challenge that time of year. We started her session at Culturehouse Coffee Co. in downtown, Youngstown, then made our way to Federal street. We talked about her plans for college, Jesus, and how sad it is going to be when she leaves!! Chasie is attending Grand Canyon University, which is in Arizona!!
It’s tradition at GCU that when you get your acceptance letter, you take a picture with the confetti. We, of course, had to capture that!! It’s one of my favorite shots too!!
This girl has such courage to move so far to be in such a beautiful place, and I have to admit that I am quite jealous. But sad as I am to see her go, watching her do everything God has planned for her is going to be so fun to see! I am so proud of the young lady she is.
Chasie, you are beautiful inside and out, and knowing you is such a pleasure. I love every conversation we have and every silly text I get and can’t wait to visit you in AZ (because you know I really will)!! I love you endlessly!
