Carisse and Mike’s wedding day at Humphrey’s Half Moon Inn in San Diego, California was filled with laughter, love, and timeless memories. With a classic blue and white color palette and a big, joyful bridal party, the day was beautifully simple and full of heartfelt moments.

Getting Ready at Humphrey’s Half Moon Inn

The morning was buzzing with excitement. The girls got ready together, giggling in their matching navy PJs while throwback hits from the 90s and early 2000s played in the background. Carisse’s mom lovingly zipped her into her dress and helped with her shoes, while her sister placed her veil. She shared a touching first look with her dad, who couldn’t stop smiling at his daughter on her wedding day.

Meanwhile, the guys kept things laid-back, full of laughter and camaraderie. The best man led a toast to kick off the day before the group cracked open a few beers. He helped with ties, and Mike’s dad lent a hand with his suit jacket—a simple, relaxed start to a big day.

First Look & Portraits on the Dock

Mike’s face lit up the moment he saw Carisse during their first look. The couple then shared portraits with their beloved pup, Frankie, who added a sweet touch to the morning. Afterward, they posed for timeless portraits together, followed by bridal party photos and family formals.

Before guests arrived, Carisse and Mike slipped away to the dock for a few romantic portraits. The partly cloudy sky gave a warm glow, reflecting beautifully off the water and sailboats around them. Their quiet laughter and tender kisses made this moment feel extra special.

Ceremony & Cocktail Hour in the Garden

The ceremony, officiated by their close friend, struck the perfect balance of lighthearted and heartfelt. Guests smiled and laughed as stories of Carisse and Mike’s love were shared, highlighting just how perfectly matched they are—funny, easygoing, and deeply in love. With the tropical backdrop of Humphrey’s behind them, the couple exchanged vows and shared their first kiss as husband and wife.

Since portraits were already done, Carisse and Mike joined their guests for cocktail hour. Friends and family mingled while enjoying fruit and cheese plates, with the glow of sailboats in the harbor setting the scene. During this time, we captured all the lovely reception details before the evening’s celebration began.

Reception Among Golden Candlelight

The newlyweds made a grand entrance as cheers filled the room. They shared their first dance to Take My Breath Away by Berlin—a nod to Top Gun and something that had all their guests laughing! Then the pair had their parent dances: Carisse & her dad holding each other tight as happy tears flowed down their cheeks while Mike and his mom were joyfully spinning around the dancefloor. Carisse’s mom blessed the meal, hand in hand with C’s sister. After dinner, toasts from Carisse’s dad, her sister/maid of honor, and the best man brought laughter, tears, and warm memories to the room.

As the night fell, golden candlelight and twinkling lights overhead set the stage for dancing. Guests filled the floor as the live band kept the energy high, wrapping the day in celebration, music, and joy.
