On an early October morning, we arrived at The Marriott in Canfield for Bre and Dustin’s wedding day. It was windy and a little chilly for early fall in Ohio, but something in the air said this would be the most perfect day! Heading into the bridal suite decked out in party decor, we were greeted by the most gorgeous and kind ladies you will ever meet. Bre and her girls were all ready in their matching robes, celebrating their friend and giggling. Knowing Bre, she is so special and she shines in a room like no other, so meeting her besties was something I was really looking forward to.
We had such a blast with them grabbing their details and throwing around balloons as the flower girl in her floral mini robe squealed with delight. With the help of her mama, she got into her dress, and had a bridesmaids first look – one of my favorite things on a wedding day. The girls turned around to see a glowing bride, ready to marry her very best friend, and smiles from ear to ear were on everyone’s faces.
Meanwhile, over in the groomsmen suite, the guys were enjoying their morning with some drinks and laughs. Like Bre, Dustin is also easy to celebrate, and he makes you feel welcome from the second you meet them. It’s no wonder their friends call them both “Mom and Dad.” He and his boys have an amazing sense of humor, and the day was all the more fun with them there. Our groom was so excited to see his soon-to-be wife, and I already was pumped to see his reaction when she walked down the aisle!
Bre’s First Look with her Dad
Once the guys left for the church, we got Bre’s dad all ready outside to see his little girl as a bride for the first time. Once he turned around, they shared a long embrace and a few special moments as some tears fell down their faces. It was so precious. It was so evident that these two have a beautiful bond.
The church these two said “I do!” in held such significance for Bre. Though she lives in Florida, she took the trip back to Ohio to get married at the church her parents got married in – and on her grandparents’ wedding day! Family is such an important part of B&D’s lives, and I loved this extra touch.
When Bre walked down the aisle, you could look back to the altar to catch Dustin wiping his tears as the love of his life made her way to him. Their vows were all the more touching, as they poured their hearts into each each promise. There were no dry eyes in the room!
After family formals and bridal party portraits at Fellows Riverside Gardens, we headed to the reception hall at Avion on the Water. Once I grabbed the decor details, I pulled the newly weds out for their sunset photos. And it was freezing! The poor dears were so good about the weather, though not used to this weather back in their hometown, and we did rapid fire portraits (my way of saying super fast). They nailed every pose, and loved on each other perfectly! You’d never know it felt like Christmas outside – lol!
Toasts were such a sweet part of this wedding day. Both the maid of honor and best man shared how truly sweet and loved Bre and Dustin are, and you could see that every person in the room has been touched by their relationship. They make everyone feel like family, and those close to them are truly lucky!
Once first dances were over, it was time to break it down! You could catch almost every person celebrating on the dance floor at some point, and it was a true party!! My favorite part, however, was easily the garter dance as Dustin took to the floor to make everyone in the room laugh to remove the garter from his bride. He went all out with the dance moves, and it was so hilarious! The night ended with photo booth pictures and crazy dance moves. It was one of the most fun wedding days I’ve been to!
To the Couple:
Congratulations, Bre & Dustin! You are both such beautiful souls, and I am so lucky to know you. I wish you all the best and I already know you are going to show everyone around you exactly what a marriage should look like: two best friends committed to forever together. I am so happy for you and will totally need to come visit you in Florida!!
