Winter
Working with seniors every year since I was a senior, I knew one day would be my little sister’s chance. This year is that time!! What more perfect way to start of the class of 2020 senior blog posts than with her?!
One of the perks of having your sister as your photographer is getting sessions every season, so this is one of many blog posts for Ashley. The trickiest thing about winter sessions is getting the snow without it being unbearably cold. In Ohio, where it could have perfect snow one day, and all be melted the next, that can be difficult. Needless to say, I was watching for the perfect window of snow!!
Another perk of sessions with your sister is that you can take her to the absolute strangest locations. This particular set of photos took place in a random neighborhood in the suburbs of our small town. As cars passed with confused people wondering what we were doing on their street, I got to grab a bunch of cute laughing photos of my favorite little human. Dumping snow in her hair may have also contributed to some laughter, but it was all worth it for these cute shots!!
(If your school has later yearbook submission dates, I totally recommend winter sessions because they are just so stunning.)
Since Ashley accompanies me to most of my sessions, it was no surprise that she knew exactly what to do when the camera pointed at her. She also has the most genuine smile, and her outfits were so perfect for her. Running in out of the car to warm up between shots is always a blast with her at sessions, but it was even more special this time around since this one was all about her!
I cannot believe my darling sister is going into her senior year, but documenting is the best part. I’m so proud of the young lady she is and can’t wait to show y’all all the photos we’ll be taking this year!!
Class of 2020, you have a very special place in my heart!
